Online
Banking Service
What is Online Banking?
If you're like most people, you've heard a lot about online
banking but probably haven't tried it yourself. You still
pay your bills by mail and deposit checks at your local Security
State Bank branch, much the way your parents did. You might
shop online for a loan, life insurance or a home mortgage,
but when it comes time to commit, you feel more comfortable
working with your SSB community banker that you know and trust.
Online banking isn't out to change your money habits. Instead,
it uses today's computer technology to give you the option
of bypassing the time-consuming, paper-based aspects of traditional
banking in order to manage your finances more quickly and
efficiently.
Understanding Online Banking Services
Security State Bank's Online Services include:
- View account balances including checking, savings, IRAs
and loans
- Access account history
- Transfer funds between accounts
- Schedule future transfers
How to Manage Your Accounts Online
When you sign up for online banking, you designate which accounts
you wish to access online. Then you will be issued a user
ID and temporary password via regular mail with instructions
on how to use them to access the secure online banking portion
of SSB's site where your account information is available
24/7. You need an active account with an Internet Service
Provider, and a web browser that is compatible with SSB's
Online Software.Mozilla
Firefox, Internet
Explorer and Netscape's
latest versions are compatible with 128-bit encryption.
We require you to change your password during your initial
visit for added security. These site "keys" are
the only way to access your accounts online, so keep them
in a safe place.
Once inside your private site, you will have access to all
of the accounts that you have registered for online banking.
You can easily view your current balances, recent deposits
and payments, and complete account history.
SSB's Online Banking Service also has a financial summary
page that lists all registered accounts, so you can quickly
glimpse your account balances, total assets and net worth.
